President Obama signed a landmark piece of legislation today repealing “don’t ask, don’t tell.” While many people have championed this bill for years now, it’s finally come to fruition. Against the likes of John McCain and a few other Republican Senators, gays and lesbians can now openly serve in our armed forces.
